Latest Updates from Our Project:

Sailing . . . take me away . . . TO ASGARD!
almost 5 years ago – Thu, Jul 18, 2019 at 03:09:12 PM

Loaded full on vessel ATLANTIC SKY/ATK3219 for Port Newark, Nj-B51 (Pnct),New Jersey,U.S.A. 07114 On 07/17/19 01:10 From LIVERPOOL SEAFORTH,UNITED KINGDOM which sailed on 07/17/19 10:00 The ETA at the port of Discharge PORT NEWARK, NJ-B51 (PNCT),U.S.A. will be 07/26/19 19:00

So . . . Eight days and the books will arrive in Newark. Then once they're unloaded and cleared (which is a potentially highly variable amount of time), it'll take about a half-day (12 hours) to get from New Jersey to Knoxville. At that point, it's just up to Studio 2 to efficiently get the stuff packed and shipped.

So . . . soon. I do have to check to make sure that my bookmark order was delivered to Studio 2. It should have been.

But we're close. With luck, the US orders will arrive roughly the same time as the Dungeon Fantasy RPG Monsters 2 and RPG reprint orders: roughly in August. In fact, it's not impossible, but I will say it's unlikely, that if things go super-smooth . . . actually, nah. I hoped that it would be possible to have initial short-distance books still arriving in July (as promised), but the odds of that are just too low. Some may arrive in the first half of August, though, which is, well...close to on time?

Anyway, we're making progress. Hopefully the ship won't sink.

US Shipping Update
almost 5 years ago – Fri, Jul 12, 2019 at 03:06:00 AM

The pallet with all the books will be departing from Liverpool, UK on July 17, arriving in NYC July 26, delivered to Studio 2 in TN for distribution on August 5. Most probable delivery to all US customers is Aug 21 or earlier.

This is, admittedly, three weeks late. This is disappointing, but the complexity of the project (and Four Perilous Journeys will be worse!) in terms of number of books and destinations is a new thing for me. Each kickstarter I get better at planning.

Thanks for your patience!

International books away!
almost 5 years ago – Fri, Jun 21, 2019 at 03:19:46 PM

I'm told that the international orders were all shipped out Wednesday. So if you ordered Nordvorn, Hall of Judgment, or Fantastic Dungeon Grappling and you're from not-the-USA, your order is on its way to you. Folks in the UK may see books in a matter of days.

The rest of the books are being put on a pallet, weighed, and shipped to Jim at Studio 2 Real Soon Now.

More updates as I know more!

The Vikings have landed! Hide the valuables!
almost 5 years ago – Fri, Jun 14, 2019 at 03:34:45 PM

I got word just now that both the books from the printer AND the bookmarks from the USA arrived in the UK today!

Kixto says they're targeting shipment for June 19 for international orders! That means for the UK and EU, many of your books will arrive well before the end of July.

For those of us here in the USA . . . they will be arranged for import into the US, direct to Studio 2 in TN. We're looking into options and speed for those. I'd estimate about a month, though, all told: Hopefully July 19 as well.

Then they'll go out by Media Mail, which should put books in hand by the first week in August for most customers.

All Proofs in Hand. Printing and Delivery to UK Real Soon Now

As a Strange Dr once said: "We're in the Endgame now."

Oh: that may have been a spoiler.

In any case, I got the advance copies of Citadel and HoJ (2nd Edition) yesterday.

These are freakin' gorgeous books. I'm super-proud of Citadel, and I hope you guys enjoy the heck out of it.

Enough back-patting: here are a few pictures.

And lastly, a parting shot of the two 128-page Norðlond books.

They should arrive in the UK maybe by the end of the week. I expect few shennanigans with getting them into the UK from Latvia, since books are 0% VAT and Latvia and the UK are easy relatively speaking. I've shipped bookmarks to Kixto from the US - I could not guarantee that the printer I had in the UK would produce product that would work with a dry-erase marker - and they should arrive June 18.

Shipping to international customers will be done within a few days after that; 1-8 weeks for delivery depending on the fortunes of shipping and travel.

Then the remainder of the books will be transported to Studio 2 in TN for fulfillment. Two weeks or less from arrival to books-in-hand.

Endgame.
